i don't want to overwhelm you, so i'll get you caught up with may, and add more this week
our kitchen...it's done! (or as close to done as it can be...we need to eventually replace the floor, and we want to cover the ceiling in the reproduction tin tiles...but it's done for now):
the cabinets and backsplash before...{please pay close attention to the PINK paint behind the stove. yes, our kitchen WAS 2 shades of pink with red plush carpet..ugh!}:
and after...{it's hard to see, but the backsplash is embossed wallpaper that we painted with a high gloss to make it look like old tin tiles}...and i finally have a place to display my milk glass collection:
the dining {or "let's-dump-everything-here-on-the-table"} area and corner cabinet before...note the pink baseboard:
and after...the floor is a retro yellow linoleum that was underneath our GORGEOUS red plush...lol! oh, and jackson hates my little embroidered yarn rose pictures, but he's since "learned to live with them" {definition: he didn't have much of a say in the matter}:
jaden's 6th birthday...it was a "candy-themed" party:
i finally gave in and let the girls eat their "whirly pops" from the party:
immediately after the party, ashlyn decided that jaden's BRAND NEW nightgown looked better on her...{and i'm here to tell you, jaden hasn't been allowed to wear it since!}:
the week after jaden's birthday was her dance recital...{that's my sister with her...she's been dancing since she was 3, and she's AMAZING!}:
and finally, this is what happens when ashlyn is in the same room as jackson while he's "working on the computer":
Oh, I love picture posts! Your house looks fantastic. It has such an Aja decor too. :D I bet you are happy to have the red plush carpeting gone and the pink too. Love the candy themed birthday party and the night gown on Ashlyn.
ReplyDeleteI popped over here from your Etsy store to see some of your labels in action (trying to narrow it down to which to order - it's hard!). Nicole at Studio Calico mentioned your store and I saw the lovely labels she order and the delish lace ribbon you use to package them, double bonus!!
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, wanted to comment here on your lovely kitchen and say, WOW to your milk glass collection - I collect it as well, limiting myself to the hobnail, but don't have a fraction of what you do so loved seeing your collection!
